Welcome to the website of the ACO, the premier Youth Chamber Orchestra which offers a unique opportunity for advanced young musicians to perform a wide and challenging repertoire.
Musical Director, Peter Bridle MBE
Over the past 30 years Peter Bridle has become deeply involved in music making with young people in the West Midlands and has gained a reputation as a conductor, accompanist and violinist.
‘The Academy Chamber Orchestra is one of the most exciting new young orchestras I know of. I had the pleasure and privilege to work with them recently and the experience, including getting to know these gifted and highly motivated youngsters and their charismatic conductor, was one of the most enjoyable and musically productive I have known.
